Aliens who have attempted to conquer the Earth eight times in the past and failed time after time have reached the nineth
plan. Plan 9, which is to create an army of zombies and vampires that obey them. Then have our own dead destroy the Earth
while they stay safe in their flying saucers.
The Police is onto the scheme and is out to stop the invasion of the walking dead.
I know that I'm going to catch Hell for this, but it seems that a new generation who grew up with this movie on TV like I
did loves this movie. But I am going to stick to my guns and say that this is God awful. The effects are rotten, the characters
are poorly written. There is some very funny dialog, but this isn't a comedy and when a serious movie has funny dialog, that's
considered a bad thing. As for the so called UFOs, I've seen better flying saucers being thrown around by kids in the park.
Plus, it's bad enough that Ed didn't stop production of the movie or wrote Bela out of it. At least they could have found
a body double that wasn't two freakin' feet taller the Bela! This is a lesson to all inspiring filmmakers of what not to do.
I give this ultimate TURKEY...THE NOOSE!
Honestly I don't give a rat's ass how much heat I take from my review. If anyone likes this crapper, this mistake of the
cinema and don't like the truth. Then they can just bend over and kiss my pale white butt! YOu heard me, Zedd is 100% correct
on this. When your biggest star dies practically on camera, then it's time to call it a rap. I don't know why he continued,
if it was pressure from the Producer of the mob. Or in his sick way, Ed thought he was honoring the great Bela Legosi. Either
way I think it was terrible and Tor Johnson should have stuck to bit parts in BOB HOPE flicks. I too give this ultimate disater
of a flick THE NOOSE!
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CONCEPT (The concept of aliens using our own dead to conquer the world is orignal and clever. For Ed Wood.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- EFFECTS (I've seen better flying saucers at the toy store.)
- DIALOG (When you are doing a serious alien invasion movie your dialog isn't suppose to be funny!)
- BODY DOUBLE (Ed had other options other then a body double two feet taller then the orignal actor!)
- BELA DYING (When Bela died, Voltron thinks they should have called it a rap, and stoped the film.)
