THE PLOT:
The distant future, space travel is common place. The world is united under one rule, but you are two classes citizens and
civilions. To become a citizen you must serve in the military.
Family disputes and friendly rivaries must take a back seat when the aliens known as the Bugs launch an sneak attack on
The Earth, killing hundreds of thousands. The Earth declares war and the movie follows a group of these young Starship Troppers
as the battle to save the human race begins.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
I liked this movie allot. I liked the characters, the effects, the lots of different kinds of bugs. The story was just assume,
in the lines of Star Trek good. But one issue bugged me. No pun intended, the whole you have to serve to become a citizen?
What's that about, it's you God given right being born to be a citizen. Not for the squmish, this is one film in the 90's
that earned it's R rating.
I GIVE IT...8 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I liked this movie and I agree about the civilion citizen thing. But overall, that was a small thing. The whole writing
and the dialog was assume, and I loved the acting. The cast did a great job. This is the movie that made them stars.

ON THE POSTIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story of alien insect invasion really worked)
+ CAST (The cast of upcoming stars really worked well together)
+ BUGS (Lots of different bugs)
+ DIALOG (We both loved the dialog)
+ EFFECTS (Just perfect effects)
+ CONTINUITY (When a bug is killed it stays dead)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- CITAZEN VS. CIVILION (The whole you are not a citazen unless you face certain death by the Bugs is just wrong and an I hope
not future)
AND FIANLLY...
- NOT FOR THE SQUMISH (If you can't stomach people being ripped to pieces, then stay away from this movie)
